An Italian grape becoming incredibly popular,
Sangiovese is the varietal used to make Chianti and is the primary grape
in "Super Tuscan" wines. Several California vinters have been growing it
recently and making some excellent wines. Sangiovese does best when
planted in cooler regions. |
