Copper Sulfate 1%
Copper Sulfate is used in treating of wines with hydrogen sulfide. Hydrogen sulfide gives wines a characteristic " rotten egg" or even "sewer" smell. A treatment using this product should only occur when other less invasive approaches have been attempted. Proper trials also include the use of Ascorbic acid.
